Better Finglas and the local Speech and Language therapy team based in Wellmount have been working together to ensure that every child receives the help and encouragement they need in terms of language learning. Two speech and language therapists from the local health centre recently completed the Hanen ‘Learning Language and Loving It’ training. This training provides a framework to support early years practitioners to create language rich environments that help children learn best. It is hoped that training will be offered to early years practitioners early in 2017.
